Harrison & Hussey Rook Rifle 297/ 250 pretty!
This is a pretty little rook rifle by a good maker with its accessories extant. original case with makers label, cleaning rod, jags and contemporary oil bottle with 100 Kynoch ( empty cartridge cases).
If I was buying something to cheer myself up, this would be it!
Original bluing and colour case hardening extant.
What's wrong with it? Not much a little restorable damage to the checkering in a small area you need to look for and the case is a but distressed but at lest that saved the rifle!
Should you want to put this on a FAC you have a great start with the cases but these can also be made.
Here are some facts although not articulating the sheer beauty of this sleeping gem.
Sidelever, ( Tranters patent) non-selective ejector, rebounding hammer, plain action-body, much hardening-colour, well-figured stock with pistol grip and colour-hardened pistol grip-cap, horn-capped fore end, the octagonal barrel engraved H. J. Hussey, 7 Bury Street, St James, .297/250 Bore. with open-sights for 50, 100 and 150 yards and bead-foresight,
A pretty cased rifle of investment quality.
